TSS (Tally Software Services) is the annual subscription that keeps a TallyPrime licence current — new releases, statutory compliance updates, the connected services (e-invoicing, e-way bills, GST filing and GSTR-2A/2B download, bank payments and auto bank reconciliation, mobile/WhatsApp reports) and technical support.
Yes, you can renew TSS directly from inside TallyPrime:
- 1From the Gateway of Tally, press Alt+R (Manage TSS Renewal) — this option appears when your renewal is due.
- 2Or go to F1 (Help) > Settings > License > Manage License, then press F9 (Renew TSS).
- 3Tally opens the Tally Solutions TSS renewal page in your browser — pick 1 Year or 2 Years, fill in the billing details and the serial number, and pay.
- 4After payment, update the licence from Manage License so TallyPrime shows the new coverage end date.
When TSS is expired the connected features stop — e-invoicing, e-way bills, GST filing and GSTR-2A/2B download, bank payments and auto-BRS, mobile/WhatsApp reports — but offline data entry keeps working and your data stays safe. On Tally.ERP 9 there is nothing left to renew: TSS renewal was discontinued for all customers from 16 August 2026, so the path there is an upgrade to TallyPrime.
